On The Death Of VP Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima: Pres. Boakai Consoles Malawi

The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent a condolence message to His Excellency Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, President of the Republic of Malawi, following the death of the Vice President of the Republic of Malawi, Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima, and nine others, who were killed in a plane crash in the Chikangawa Forest in Malawi on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Boakai expressed profound sadness and deep sorrow following the death of the senior officials of the Malawian government.

In his message to the President of the Republic of Malawi, His Excellency Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, the Liberian leader, on behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Liberia and in his own name, extended heartfelt condolence to the government and people of the Republic of Malawi for the irreparable loss sustained.

He then prayed that the Almighty God will grant His Excellency Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, President of the Republic of Malawi, and the people of Malawi strength, courage, and fortitude as they go through this difficult period of national mourning.
