The Presiding Overseer of the Praise Assemblies International, Rev. J. Torbor Nyemah, has disclosed that plans have been finalized for the church to construct a building that will take up to 200 worshippers. Rev. Nyemah disclosed that they have purchased two lots of land in the Township of Dixville for the project, which is expected to start soon.

According to Rev. Nyemah, all legal formalities have been prepared for construction of the new church. He said the fund will be raised by the church members through taxation, as well as contributions from other organizations and citizens of Liberia.

He urged members of the church to put aside their differences and coordinate to achieve the construction of the new building.

Overseer Nyemah made the statement on Sunday, May 26, 2024 during the church’s Mother’s Day program, at which time several women were honored for their contributions to the church, community and the country.

Those honored during the Mother’s Day program were Elizabeth Sarwee who took the crow as Mother of the Year 2024, Adriana B. Keleh, Elizabeth T. Dixon, Rebeca Nyan, Comfort Parson, Mary Bestman, Meme T. Snorweah, Agnes S. Carr, Martha Chea and Theresa Juah.

The sermon at the Mother’s Day program was preached by Evangelist Annie J. Page, who preached on the topic, “Quality of a Good Mother”, I Samuel 25:40—43. She urged women of Liberia to design programs that will promote peace, unity and reconciliation for the betterment of the state and the Christian community.

During the program, over 45 bags of cement and 100 blocks were pledged toward the construction of the new church building.
