President Joseph Nyuma Boakai is expected to submit the 2026 Draft National Budget to the Liberian Senate on Friday, November 7, 2026, after a slight delay from the actual date, with a request from the President for extension to today.
The President initially had to submit the budget by October 31, 2025, but requested an extension until November 7, 2025 to allow for additional consultations with stakeholders and external partners.
The Chief Executive, in his communication, stated that the extension will ensure a credible, comprehensive, and realistic national budget framework that meets domestic fiscal requirements and international best practices in public financial management.
