The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah, has sent a message of congratulations to His Excellency, Adama Barrow, President-elect on the auspicious occasion of his overwhelming re-election as President of the Republic of the Gambia.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, in the massage to His Excellency, Adama Barrow, President-elect, President Weah extended warmest congratulations on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Republic of the Gambia and noted that the victory signified the trust the people of Gambia have in his ability as Head of State of the Republic of Gambia over the years.
“It is my ardent hope that our two peoples will nurture new frontiers in our already existing bilateral ties and continue to promote peace and security, in keeping with the principles of the African Union (AU), the Economy of West African States (ECOWAS) and the United Nations (UN),” President Weah noted.
The Liberian Leader entertained the hope that as the President-elect continue this herculean task of leading his people and passionately hope that the bond of companionship so happily subsisting between the two countries will be further cemented for the mutual benefit of the two peoples.
President Weah also prayed that, in the midst of this Covid-19 pandemic, the Almighty Allah continues to shower his personal wellbeing with plentiful blessing on him, as well as the government and the people of the Gambia.
In a related development, President Weah has sent a message of congratulations to His Excellency, Roch Marc Christian Kabore, President elect on the occasion of the unanimous election as President of Burkina Faso.

President Weah said he believed that under his wise and strong leadership, Burkina Faso will certainly become an even stronger and more prosperous country that will make greater contributions to global peace, stability and prosperity, noting that the re-election to the country’s highest office fully demonstrated the strong confidence reposed in him by the Burkinabe people in executing the vision and wisdom as he leads the noble country.
The Liberian Leader entertained the hope that the cordial relations and cooperation subsisting between the two countries and peoples will be further strengthened in the spirit of African solidarity.
