Bong County’s district #3 Representative, Marvin Cole, has declared Bong County a “no-go” zone for the opposition in the up-coming general and presidential elections.

Representative Cole’s declaration was in response to a group of women who had gathered in their numbers to petition and re-affirm their support to his re-election bid in the county.

The women, under the banner, “JMC Women”, in their petition provided twenty-three counts, which covers micro-finance, economic empowerment, infrastructural development, contribution to healthcare and construction of a multipurpose media institution, among others, as tangibles for his re-election.

Representative Cole, in response to the women’s petition, expressed delight over the turnout and noted that they have made no mistake in their decision to petition him. He remined them about the greater goal which, according to him, is to make President George M. Weah win the up-coming election.

“Since 1847, President Weah is the only person who believes in Bong County and gave the county the second highest seat in the country. We are not prepared to give the position to Nimba County. October 2023, Weah must win,” the Bong County lawmaker observed.
