Speaker Chambers Urges HOR Directors To Be Active
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Bhofal Chambers, says the directors of various departments are encouraged to help the leadership in identifying staffs in the habit of staying away from work.
Dr. Chambers has disclosed that the directors are under the obligation of ensuring that staffs demonstrate commitment to their duty for the collective good of the country.
He maintained that the application of the utility principles which, among other things, call for efficiency and productivity, is adhered to.
Speaker Chambers made the remarks when he met with scores of directors in the conference room of the Chinese newly built annex on Monday, May 31, 2021.
The Speaker noted that he is concerned with the issue of salaries disparity, and his leadership is doing all it can to have it stabilized, adding that no one will be privileged over the other.
Barely a day after the directors met with the Speaker, new signing-in books were issued to various departments in order to ensure the tracking of staff commitment to reporting to work on a daily basis.
