Grand Bassa County’s Superintendent, Janjay Baikpeh, will contest the representative post of district #2 as a promised fulfillment of Representative Mary Karwor and others.
Representative Karwor has vowed not to contest come 2023 general elections in the district so that they fulfill Superintendent Baikpeh’s political promise.
She is a two-term Representative of the district and a renowned politician. Politicians have been afraid to be her rivals for reasons best known to themselves.
Her retirement from the district politics is to payback Baikpeh for dancing by their political drum beats and development whistle sounds.
Liberia’s Chief Zoe, Zanzan Karwor, lauded Superintendent Baikpeh in the presence of the President and others for his humble stance towards him and the Representative, his wife, during the President’s tour to Grand Bassa County, noting that Baikpeh would get his reward in due season.
“The boy is respectful in everything we tell him to do; therefore, we will satisfy him,” Chief Zanzan Karwor told President Weah when he visited their district during the county tour. “The boy is not proud. He helped us grater the dirt road leading to his village.”
