To Sponsor 2024/2025 National County Sports Meet: Orange Liberia, MYS Sign MOU
Orange Liberia has signed an official agreement with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to sponsor the 2024/2025 National County Sports Meet, which will be held under the theme, “Compete, Empower, Unite”.
The Director for Legal, Regulatory and Governmental Affairs, Cllr. Supu H.W. Cole Sr., speaking during the official signing ceremony, said Orange Liberia has been a major sponsor of sporting activities in the country, not only the County Meet but other sporting activities like the national team, local leagues, and other Orange tournaments.
According to him, the National County Meet is a unique occasion because it unifies Liberians, with individuals from all walks of life coming together to support their counties.
He said whatever was promised in the agreement signed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports should be implemented, and that they look forward to a successful County Meet.
At the same time, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Cole Bangalu, said orange Liberia is not only involved in sporting activities, but also creating jobs for young people in the country.
According to him, the County Meet can help the young people with short-term jobs to pay their school fees, rent and also take care of their needs.
Meanwhile, the communication manager of Orange Liberia, Mabel Mabson, said that orange Liberia is committed to give US$45,000, and 42 smart devices, T. shirts will be given during the simi-final and final warmup session, along with monthly scratch cards of US$50 to 10 officials of the ministry.
