“Even though our institution is absolutely non-political, we will not hide our individual and collective feelings to make it clear that we are supportive of all of the concerted efforts of the government once those efforts are geared toward the improvement of the lives of the Liberian people and development of the country,” these were the words of commitment of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bukonjadeh Group of Companies, Elton Datee Johns, to the Government of Liberia (GOL).

Johns’s assertion is in direct relation to the many congratulatory messages to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s just concluded bilateral investment deal reached with the Korean government, in which that country committed itself to helping Liberia in several areas strategic to improving the lives of the Liberian people.

According to Johns, the overall success of the government will make Liberia to progress in the areas of infrastructure, education, road network, energy and water supply, agricultural, etc., so that Liberia can feed itself rather than depending on outsiders.

Meanwhile, Johns said he is hopeful that the on-going discussion between the government and rice importers will yield fruitful results that will reduce the price of the country’s stable food, as well as the cost of petroleum products, especially gas. This, according to the Bukonjadeh boss, will help improve the lives of the ordinary citizens.
