Butt Naked Accused Of Illegally Acquiring Land
The son of the late Isaac V. Urey Sr. is calling on the Government of Liberia (GOL) to look into the land dispute between him and Nathan Blayi, formerly known as Butt Naked, one of the former warlords now turned preacher man.
According to Isaac S. Urey Jr., Butt Naked is illegally occupying one acre and two lots of land that belongs to him and his family.
Urey said, while it is true that Butt Naked lived with his late father, that does not give him the right to claim their property. Speaking to a team of journalists recently in Monrovia, Urey said he has called Butt Naked for roundtable discussion but it seems to be like he is not listening to him.
Speaking in legal terms, Urey said he will take his case to court—the final arbiter of justice in the country.
Meanwhile, Urey is calling on the government and the international community to establish a war and economic crimes court for Liberia in order to judge the former warlord for killing innocent Liberians during the 14 years of civil war.
He lamented the constant threatening remarks from Butt Naked to him and his family, causing them to live in fear.
He said the law is the law, no one is more Liberian than the other, and that God will protect him and his family as long as they live in Liberia.
He said establishing a war and economic crimes court in Liberia will be the best way forward for warlords to bear the consequence of bringing untold suffering on the Liberian people. He noted, “When that is done every citizen of Liberia will live in peace and build the poor country Liberia.”
He also said, “While Liberians are suffering, those who brought untold poverty on our people are here enjoying the national cake of our country.”
When connected, Butt Naked said if the allegation against him is true Isaac S. Urey should take the legal step by going to court, as he said to the media.
According to Butt Naked, the law is the law. Urey should therefore go to court because nobody is above the law.
Butt Naked maintained that he is prepared at anytime for the war and economic crimes court to be established in Liberia for him and the other warlords to face justice for killing innocent Liberians during the 14 years of civil conflict.
