Flip Side of US$100 Million Cocaine Case: How Abi Jaoudi, Musa Dean and Bilal Abraham Planned Their “Smokescreen”
The Hot Pepper has gathered the real details of how the US$100 million cocaine bust was dubiously staged and subsequently stage-managed to absolve George Abi Jaoudi, Bilal Abraham and his wife and others connected with the cocaine deal of any criminal liabilities and thereby make unsuspecting individuals the actual criminal defendants.
The investigation, which has been confirmed by credible sources in the Liberia National Police (LNP), revealed that when the US Embassy gave a tip-off about dangerous drugs onboard a ship coming to Liberia, some state security personnel, together with their international counterparts, conducted an on-the-spot investigation, which established that the goods, amongst which the cocaine was stockpiled, were being ordered by TRH, owned by George Abi Jaoudi and Bilal Abraham.
Credible sources within the Liberia National Police (LNP) confided in this paper that some of the state security personnel who are allegedly on the payroll of George Abi Jaoudi and Bilal Abraham, and who were privileged to this information, tipped-off their bosses (George Abi Jaoudi and Bilal Abraham) that the Americans had gotten the information about the cocaine and, therefore, it was time for them to back-off or limit their interactions with Gustavos Henrique and his associates, who are errand boys involved in the drug trade.
The investigation gathered that all contacts regarding the stockpiling and importation of the US$100 million cocaine and the subsequent US$40 million case bust were allegedly between and amongst Gustavos Henrique, George Abi Jaoudi and Bilal Abraham and his wife, and it was Gustavos Henrique who hired and brought Malam Conte, Makki Admeh Issam and Adulai DJibril Djalo to Liberia under the pretext of establishing a frozen food business.
Further, the investigation also revealed that, because of the business links between and among TRH, George Abi Jaoudi, Bilal Abraham and his wife and Gustavos Henrique, and being that Gustavos Henrique knew that TRH had special privilege to bring anything to Liberia without customs inspection as he had been told and assured by George Abid Jaoudi, he (Gustavos Henrique) and Bilal Abraham, with the knowledge of George Abi Jaoudi, allegedly added the containers containing the US$100 million worth cocaine among their goods that were destined for Liberia.
Truly, according to the investigation, the containers safely arrived in Liberia at or about October 1, 2022 without any inspection, and two weeks later, on or around October 14, 2022 or thereabouts, when President Weah had left the country for the Qatar 2022 World and Justice Minister Frank Musa Dean was “in-charge” Gustavos Henrique arrived in Liberia to allegedly finalize the sale and distribution of the cocaine, that was already in containers stockpiled at TRH Warehouse.
The investigation also established that, prior to this trip, Gustavos Henrique had allegedly made several trips to Liberia surreptitiously to follow up on cocaine imported into the country through TRH and that he was allegedly very direct in instructing Malam Conte, Makki Admeh Issam and Adulai DJibril Djalo to go to TRH and meet his buddies (George Abi Jaoudi and Bilal Abraham and his wife) to take delivery of his part of the proceeds from the sale of the cocaine, dubbed as “frozen food” when hell broke loose and they were arrested along with Oliver A. Zayzay and indicted for the crimes of unlicensed importation of controlled drug, unlicensed possession of controlled drug, money laundering and criminal conspiracy for allegedly attempting to purchase a 40 (forty) foot container containing the US$100 million worth of cocaine.
The investigation further shows that, prior to the arrest, there allegedly erupted a serious argument on the counter between Gustavos Henrique and an official at TRH over claim that the former was cheated in the distribution of the proceeds but was never arrested because he was given a leeway into a compartment of the TRH warehouse to avoid him divulging the secret regarding the cocaine trade in Liberia.
It was also established that after Malam Conte, Makki Admeh Issam, Adulai DJibril Djalo and Oliver A. Zayzay were arrested for the crimes of unlicensed importation of controlled drug, unlicensed possession of controlled drug, money laundering and criminal conspiracy for allegedly attempting to purchase a 40 (forty) foot container containing the US$100 million worth of cocaine, Gustavos Henrique called George Abi Jaoudi and Bilal Abraham as his business partners to intervene and threatened to make full disclosure, but was told by George Abi Jaoudi that any attempt to say anything to the contrary would cost his life.
The investigation quoted sources who saw Gustavos Henrique at the TRH warehouse on the day of the arrest, who said that the man was so frightened that he headed straight for the Roberts International Airport (RIA), where the Ministry of Justice claimed he bought a plane ticket and left the country.
Sources at the police told this paper that the initial story was that Gustavo’s Henrique allegedly stockpiled the cocaine in containers that were being imported by George Abi Jaoudi and Bilal Abraham, but when the question of in whose name the bill of lading is written was asked, Frank Musa Dean, in his vain attempt to shield George Abi Jaoudi and Bilal Abraham, allegedly soon changed the story around.
The investigation has gathered that Gustavos Henrique is still on the run. Investigation continues.
