Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung was seen on Friday, October 4, 2024, engaging in meaningful discussions with members of the Ganta business community.

The meeting was filled with emotional excitement, as many business leaders warmly greeted the Vice President, publicly expressing their unwavering support for his new role.

Before entering politics in 2009, VP Koung was a prominent entrepreneur in Ganta, operating real estate ventures, filling stations, cold storage facilities, and merchandise stores.

His business background enabled him to forge genuine relationships with key figures in the sector, which he continues to nurture after his election as Vice President.

“I am glad to visit many of my business friends and partners today because this is the field that made me who I am,” said the Vice President, highlighting his commitment to the business community and the citizens of Nimba County.

Passersby and onlookers expressed their astonishment at witnessing a Vice President personally engaging with business owners, describing him as a “humble leader”.

“We are truly surprised to see a Vice President of a country personally interacting with business owners, sharing laughter and handshakes,” remarked a group of citizens.

The Vice President also paid tribute to the late Daniel Roberts, a distinguished son of Ganta, whom he regarded as a mentor during his early business ventures in Nimba County.

Among the business establishments visited were the Margie Bar and Restaurant, Justina Entertainment Center, and Mr. Pharaze Dekpeh Loan and Business Center. Vice President Koung underscored his commitment to fostering local business relationships.
