On Friday, October 25, 2024, the Solidarity & Trust for a New Day (STAND), one of Liberia’s foremost civil society organizations, launched its advocacy manifesto for major reforms in the country, which officially coincided with the opening of its national head office in Congo Town, Monrovia.

Thousands of jubilant members attended the event, which included representatives from the Liberia Council of Churches, the National Muslim Council of Liberia, the Independent Human Rights Commission, and other distinguished stakeholders.

Before the ribbon-cutting ceremony, disadvantaged Liberians, represented by Mouna Farhat, submitted a 15-point petition urging STAND to champion essential reforms and legislation aligned with the people’s interests.

STAND Chairman, Mulbah K. Morlu, received and embraced the petition, affirming it as a mandate from the Liberian people and pledging to vigorously pursue its fulfillment.

The program was also attended by some of Liberia’s popular celebrities, including well-known musicians Natif, Nigger Blow, comedian Mama Liberia, and others.

Meanwhile, the leadership of Solidarity & Trust for a New Day has extended heartfelt gratitude to all STANDERS for their unwavering dedication, which has driven the success of this and other initiatives.
