Liberia Stands To Benefit From Sen. Joseph’s US Trip

Montserrado County Senator, Saah H. Joseph, has returned to Liberia after a month-long visit to the United States of America with several assorted materials to help the country’s health, education and fire service sectors.

   Addressing reporters immediately upon his arrival on last Thursday evening at the Roberts International Airport (RIA), Senator Joseph said his visit to the United States of America was fruitful and Liberia stands to benefit immensely. He explained that, while in the US he held meetings with some Liberians living in that part of the world who pledged their support to the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) government.

   Senator Joseph told reporters that he has come to start work with no delay because the Legislature has started the special session. The Montserrado County Senator applauded members of the Liberian community in the United States for the support he received from them during his stay in the United States.

   The Chairman on the Executive Committee of the Liberian Senate, Senator Joseph, said with support from the Liberian community his office received 35 buses, 5 fire service trucks and a forty-foot container containing medical equipment. The challenges he has, according to him, is the shipment.

   The buses, according to him, will be distributed to schools, including the University of Liberia (UL), while the fire service trucks will be presented to the Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS) and the medical equipment will also be distributed to clinics and hospitals.

   Senator Joseph averred that he met with some Congress men and women. During their discussion, he said he presented facts about what the Government is doing and what assistance the CDC led Government needs. Those Congress men according to him, assured him of the US government willingness to work with the Weah led Government

   On Saturday, October 23, 2021, Senator Joseph also donated one forty-foot container filled with medical equipment to the Redemption Hospital. He urged the administrator of the hospital to use the donated items for its intended purpose.

   Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Dr. Sampson Woulu, one of the medical doctors assigned at the hospital, commended the Montserrado County Senator for the gesture. He assured Senator Joseph that the donated medical equipment will be used for its intended purpose.
