At Budget Hearing: LIS Presents US$5.1 Million Projection

On December 12, 2024 at the budget hearing of the National Legislature on Capitol Hill, authorities of the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) were among government ministries and agencies defending their budget.

LIS Acting Commissioner General, Elijah F. Rufus, headed LIS budget presentation at the Capitol Hill.
LIS budget projection 2025 focuses on revenue generation, salaries, operation, among others.

During the budget hearing of both Houses of the National Legislature, members of the Committees on Way Means & Finance, Public Account (PAC) and Judiciary were satisfied with the LIS budget projection presentation.

Members of the budgetary committees used the hearing to encourage LIS to do more in its revenue generation contributions with the government.

Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) is one of the major revenue generation arms of the government. It has additional responsibilities when it comes to providing the necessary revenue contributions to the national coffers.
