Liberia has been graded as one of the countries in Africa that have reached the highest COVID-19 vaccination rate.
The disclosure was made by UNICEF Global Lead Coordinator of COVID-19 Delivery Ten Chaiban at the on-going four-day community health workers symposium in Monrovia. Chaiban attributed the latest update to strong health measures introduced by the Ministry of Health.
He said Liberia under President George Weah, through the Ministry of Health, should be commended for their willingness to fight COVID-19.
The UNICEF Global Lead Coordinator of COVID-19 Delivery has however challenged health practitioners across the country to keep working for the people of Liberia.
He further said Liberia has made significant progress in the fight against Covid-19, and graded as one of the African countries that have obtained the highest COVID-19 vaccination rate.
