Since the administration of Rev. G. Victor Padmore took the mantle of authority as Presiding Bishop of the Lutheran Church of Liberia, he has embarked on a clean-up campaign at the Lutheran Training Institute (LTI) in Salayea, Lofa County, as part of his plan to improve the workings of the church.

Lutheran Training Institute (LTI) prior to the civic war was one of the oldest and best educational institutions in Liberia. According to information, the LTI had the best laboratory before the war.

LTI is the golden pride of the Lutheran Church of Liberia when it comes to technical vocational training program, but it has been shut down for years—since the Ebola viral disease broke out.

According to Bishop Padmore, his leadership’s attention has been drawn to the closure to the LTI. He said his leadership will do all in its power to revamp the LTI to pre-war status. Bishop Padmore said he and some senior pastors of the church, along with hundreds of its members, brushed grass from acres of the land. He said the intention was to give a facelift to its compound.

The Lutheran Bishop disclosed that wants the public to join the Lutheran Church in revamping the program.

The structure at the LTI got destroyed three times during the civil war but was rebuilt by the church. The LTI is situated on over 250 acres of land in Lofa.

Bishop Padmore said putting the compound back on its feet will help boost up technical vocational skills in that part of the country.
