The NEC says it has hired the service of the Guaranty Trust (GT) Bank to transact the Mobile Money payment to each of the temporary workers. Payment is expected to be concluded later this week, according to the Bank.

According to a NEC release, the commission informs the temporary elections workers that payment has been made to staff in most of lower Montserrado, Margibi, Upper Nimba, Lofa, Rivercess, River Gee and Maryland counties. The NEC disclosed that began payment to staff from Upper Montserrado, Upper Nimba, Bong, Grand Gedeh, Grand Kru, Grand Cape Mount and Bomi counties by yesterday.

The commission has assured temporary electoral workers that all is being done to address their payment concerns, and thanked them for their tireless effort in contributing to the promotion of democracy in Liberia.
