The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Professional Skill Training Center (PSTC), James Woyea Massaboi, located at Du-Port Road intersection, Paynesville, in an exclusive interview with the Hot Pepper recently disclosed that his institution has secured two additional heavy-duty trucks to be used by students of the driving division.

Massaboi explained that, in addition to the heavy-duty trucks, he has also secured a tractor and intends to provide trainings for farmers who have interest in learning how to operate it. He said his aim is to empower the farmers to produce more crops for the Liberian market.

The PSTC boss disclosed a plan to decentralize the Professional Skill Training Center to rural parts of the country, where the school will provide the training to operate the tractor.

He underscored President Joseph N. Boakai’s development agenda, which places major priority on agriculture. He emphasized that, if the citizenry is trained and empowered to adequately carry out agricultural activities, it will greatly contribute to the Boakai administration achieving its goals and, at the same time, improve the economy for a better living standard.

Massaboi however expressed dismay in the lack of support to private institutions, noting that since the PSTC was established it has not received any government support. He used the occasion to appeal to the Boakai administration, especially the Ministry of Education, as well as other humanitarian organizations and philanthropists, to extend a helping hand to the institution, mainly agriculture-related materials for use by the farmers.

In a related development, the CEO of the PSTC, Massaboi, has congratulated His Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai and Vice President Jeremiah K. Koung for the ascendency to the highest seats in the nation, and pledged to continue to contribute his quota to the education sector.
