A local non-governmental peace organization, People Uniting for Peace in Liberia (PUFPIL), in collaboration with Better Future Foundation is expected to launch its peace awareness campaign in Monrovia.

PUFPIL official peace awareness campaign program is expected to be held at the University of Liberia auditorium on Thursday, June 8, 2023, under the theme, “Let’s Protect our Peace”, and will bring together prominent people, including former Information Minister, Dr. Laurence K. Bropleh, the Peace Ambassador to Liberia, Eric Quaqua, youths and student groups, civil society organizations, community leaders among others.

PUFPIL was founded on December 9, 2021 with the objective of contributing meaningfully and ensuring the promotion and maintenance of respect for human rights, good governance, prevention of conflicts, gender mainstreaming and respect for the right to participate in national decision-making, and respect for the adherence to the tenant of rule of law.

The mission of PUFPIL is to develop alternative methods for preventing and finding solutions to conflict in Liberia through problem identification, mediation, outreach and community engagements, humanitarian assistance and gender responsiveness.
