Magdalene Harris, a senatorial hopeful of Grand Bassa County, has underscored that she comes to the senatorial race with a clearly defined roadmap for the county, with a platform that captures every segment of the county. Harris has meanwhile entreated the electorate to look for aspirants with a clearly defined roadmap in order that they may be positioned to contribute to the forward march of Liberia come 2023.
She said she wants voters to stop voting on sentiment during election times because it has not help the country in any way.
Harris, who came fourth during the 2020 senatorial election in Grand Bassa county, expressed optimism of her victory come 2023 general legislative and presidential elections.
When asked about her leadership experience, she responded as saying that she has served several international organizations, and that she comes to the race with vast experience to help develop Grand Bassa County and Liberia at large. Commenting on her educational background, she disclosed that she holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Strayer University, Washington D.C., USA, and another master’s degree in public administration, with emphasis on state and local governance.
Harris has been in the vanguard of human rights advocacy and development.
According to her, at the level of the Senate, she will work to ensure that issues confronting the wellbeing of her people are addressed, noting that the county needs a leader who understands the needs of the people.
Currently, the senatorial hopeful is involved with lots of development initiatives in the county, ranging from health, education to agriculture, road rehabilitation, among others.
She said her vision is to see a unified and developed Grand Bassa County.
The female senatorial hopeful noted that division has been one of the key components holding the county’s development, recommending that the county leadership reconciles and unites for the greater good of the county.
