The issue of capacity building cannot be overemphasized as one of the major issues affecting every segment of the Liberian society. Ken Institute of Professional Studies (KIPS) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Alieu Kenneh, has disclosed that his professional school was established to fill in the gap when it comes to capacity building in the country.

According to him, many universities graduates and secondary graduates in the country lack jobs due to the lack of professional skills to address societal challenges. He said Ken Institute of Professional Studies came to address these existing gaps.

Currently, the Ken Institute of Professional Studies provides the following courses to the public for affordable fees: project planning  and management, monitoring and evaluation, project proposal writing,  human resource management, procurement and supply chain management, NGOs financial management, computer-based secretarial science, among others.

The school’s Chief Executive Officer said he believes in what he can do for his country, and not what his country can do for him.

According to him, the establishment of his professional school is an evidence of his commitment to addressing the issue of youth empowerment in Liberia.

When questioned about any ambition for now, he responded as saying that the KIPS was established to buttress the government’s efforts in addressing capacity building in the country.

The school is situated within the 72nd community along the side of T-Five University College.
