Women Of Christ (WOC), an international female body of Christ, is conducting five days of teaching and praying for Christian women in Liberia.

The Hot Pepper was at one of WOC conference in Brewerville, outside of Monrovia, and Pastor Cecelia J.M. Sieh was teaching on the importance of Christian women in ministry the world over.

According to her, women are ordained by God to lead, as well as their male counterpart.

The statement of the President and Founder of Women of Christ (WOC) comes from the backdrop that many Christians in the world believe that women were called to be at the back, while their male counterpart takes the lead. She said women were the first Christian followers of Jesus Christ after his death.

“God used women to tell the world about happenings at Jesus Christ’s grave site. In fact, women were the first people at the grave of Jesus Christ,” she told women at the conference.

She said women are spiritual keepers, despite their submission to their husbands, and used the conference to encourage women in regard to their importance in the society and the house of God.
She also used the conference to call on religious leaders in Liberia and the world at large to see it as necessary to always have women included during the ministering of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Women of Christ (WOC) conference is taking place at the New Beginning Church, inside NASSCOP Village, Brewerville Community, outside of Monrovia. Participants at the conference are from a number of churches in Liberia.

This year’s Women of Christ conference is held on the theme, “Taking Over Territories”, with text from Joshua 1:3. The purpose of the on-going Christian women conference is soul-winning in the churches of the world.
