The Political Leader of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Alexander B. Cummings, and his wife, Teresa Cummings, on Christmas Day held a festive Christmas party for hundreds of Liberian children at the ANC headquarters.
Speaking to the children, Cummings said, “On behalf of Teresa, myself and the family, and on behalf of the ANC, we want to welcome you to this Christmas Party. We want to thank our committee for organizing this event.”
Quoting former President William R. Tolbert, Cummings termed the young people a “precious jewel” who represent the future of Liberia. “We care for you—go to school and learn so that you can be able to represent the country,” he urged the children.

The ABC’s Children Christmas Party was full of fun, plays, smiles and celebration, reminding the children that they are seen, valued and deeply loved. He shared gifts among the children.
According to Cummings, seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter from the children reminded him and his wife why they continue to work for a brighter future for Liberia.
“Let us always remember that our children are our greatest treasure and represent the future of Liberia,” he observed.
