The National Civil Society Watch of Liberia (NCSWL) has hailed the outstanding service of Petrol Trade, a company involved with the distribution of oil and gas, and as well highlighted and recognized the indelible impact of the Chief Coordinating Officer (CCO) of the company, Abraham Kaydea, a major driver in the oil and gas industry of post-conflict Liberia, whose diligence to the sector is making public access to oil and gas over-available, regardless of stock to global oil and gas supply chain.

The commitment of Petrol Trade and Kaydea, according to NCSWL, is not only providing needed services to the public and timely paying its requisite tax quota, but also helping to aid government in its effort to meet its revenue target for the sector. “A testimony to this effect is that the LRA, a year ago, acknowledged the regular paying posture of Petro Trade by considering it as one of the sector’s best oil and gas supplier loyal to tax payment, an act that is crucial to the effective accomplishment of the government’s Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD),” a NCSWL release noted.

In the NCSWL release, dated Wednesday, July 14, 2021 and signed by its Chairman, Sekou D. Sonii, the group said, “We have been following Mr. Abraham Kaydea’s interpersonal engagement with members of the public who occasionally visit his office for alms, and have observed that he is generous and a provider of countless assistances to students in need through scholarship and to parents in difficult times with home maintenance and rental payment. He also extends help to members of the disabled community, churches and mosques. We also consider his instrumental role in engaging authorities of the Liberia Football Association and consummating a partnership deal to sponsor the formally Liberia Football Association Cup (L.F.A. Cup), which is now dubbed as ‘Petro Trade Cup’.”

The group observed that Kaydea’s contributions to Liberia have not been circumscribed to the oil and gas sector but have also significantly impacted sports.

“With these mammoth achievements enumerated above, undertaken by Petro Trade as a corporate entity and your commending involvements, we urge you to continue threading such path, as we all strive to develop our nation. You have overtime demonstrated your understanding of what a social corporate responsibility entails.

“Ladies and gentlemen of the press, we admonish you to keep track of Mr. Kaydea’s activities to our country, as we have been closely monitoring, as such a kind-hearted individual’s continuous work toward national development does not go unnoticed,” the NCSWL release added.
