LNP Implements Reshuffle At Lofa County Police Command

Following a thorough investigation into the tragic incident involving the suspicious hanging of a 17-year-old male suspect, Yarkpawolo Moisema, at the Depot One Police Station in Voinjama City on January 6, 2025, the Liberia National Police (LNP) has announced a comprehensive change at the entire Lofa County Police Command.

A press release issued by the LNP disclosed that ACP Bob L. Jackson, Commander of the Lofa County Police Detachment, and CIP Stephen T. Yawoe, Acting Commander of the Crimes Service Department in Lofa, have been suspended for three months without pay.

According to the release, Inspector Saah Bundor and Sergeant Selekie Tawalay have been suspended for two months without pay, but Detective Francis Duo and Patrolman Amilton F. Kollie have been exonerated.

The LNP noted that it has therefore been resolved that the entire Lofa County Police Command will be changed to reinforce the integrity of the force and uphold the highest standards of discipline and human rights.

The LNP extended its deepest condolences to the family of Yarkpawolo Moisema, and reaffirmed its dedication to preventing such incidents in the future.
