The Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah Sr., has praised the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Liberia for opening a healthcare center in Ganta, Nimba County.

Minister Kruah made the remarks when he addressed hundreds of Muslims at the opening of an Ahmadiyya Muslim clinic over the weekend in Ganta, Nimba County.

During the dedication of the healthcare facility, located around the LPMC community in Ganta, he said, “The support of the Government of Liberia (GOL), headed by HE Dr. George M. Weah, for education and basic healthcare for the people of this country cannot be over-emphasized.”

“We are therefore grateful to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Liberia for buttressing government’s effort in making healthcare delivery a part of their services to our people,” he maintained.

Minister Kruah further paid special tribute to the head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim in Liberia, Naveed Ahmad Aadil, for seeing reason to establish a health facility in Ganta, Nimba County, which will bring meaningful contribution to Liberia.

“By establishing this clinic, the Ahmadiyya Mission has committed itself to complementing government’s effort in providing healthcare for our citizens, which will combat the spread of disease in our communities, towns, and cities,” added.

He said, “Gradually the Ahmadiyya Mission is gaining ground in Liberia, because between 1956 up to present the population of the Ahmadiyya Muslim has grown to over 80,000 followers.”

The Post and Telecommunications boss also encouraged religious leaders. “As we work with the Ahmadiyya Muslims, we will get to know that this is a religion that teaches its followers to protect the sanctity of both of religions and government by becoming righteous souls and as well as loyal citizens,” he noted.
