Min. Kruah Inspires Employees To Take COVID-19 Vaccine By Taking First Shot
As a means of inspiring employees at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Minister Cooper W. Kruah Sr. has taken the first COVID-19 vaccine shot while his employees witnessed the exhibition and trooped in.
On Monday April 26, 2021 the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah Sr., took the first COVID-19 vaccine to be administered to employees of the Ministry by authorities of the Ministry of Health.
After taking the first shot, he used the occasion to inspire his employees to take the vaccine because it has been embraced by the Government of Liberia (GOL).
He reminded employees that many persons have died from COVID-19 world-wide, even though Liberia’s COVID- 19 situation is better than other West African countries.
Many employees of the Ministry trooped in upon hearing that their boss was upstairs encouraging employees to become part of the process, indicating that “prevention is better than cure”.
Minister Kruah called on employees at the Ministry to take advantage of the vaccine exhibition, and urged them to abide by the preventive health measures recommended by the Government of Liberia (GOL) through the Ministry Of Health.
His taking the vaccine has sent waves of inspirational messages to some employees who are assigned outside of Monrovia to immediately take the COVID -19 vaccine.
Meanwhile, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) has ranked Liberia as one of the low level of COVID-19 cases, but the CDC is also warning travelers to Liberia to get fully vaccinated before travelling. “Even fully vaccinated travelers are at risk for getting and spreading new COVID-19 variants. All travelers should wear a mask, stay six feet from others, avoid crowds, and wash their hands,” among other things, the CDC indicated.
