Reach Out Foundation, a Christian-based, non-for-profit organization, with the vision of empowering less fortunate children in Liberia and beyond, has been officially launched in the country. The launching ceremony was held over the weekend at the Christian Evangelical Pentecostal Church, between Cemenco and Cow Factory.

According to the organization’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Samuel Vah, his foundation will provide hope to the hopeless and reach out to all races with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Vah said his foundation is a charitable organization that seeks to empower inmates and under-privileged children and women through orphanage homes, widow, deaf and people with disability. He said his institution’s purpose is supported by Matthew 25:35—10.

Reach Out Foundation’s boss said, prior to the official launch of the foundation they visited several orphanage homes in Monsterrado County and provided rice, oil, toiletries and clothes for the orphans, in addition to the Word of God.

According to him, they also visited the Monrovia South Beach Prison and Kakata Central Prison in Margibi County. He said during their visitation they provided bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, toiletries, among others items.

He noted that during the Coronavirus period in 2020 they distributed anti-COVID-19 buckets in major communities in Montserrado County, including Kpelle Town,  Wesseh Town and River View.

Rev. T. Kona Jones, proxy for Rev. Dr. Christian K. Dagadu Sr. as guest speaker at the launching ceremony, encouraged members of the Reach Out Foundation to reach out to more vulnerable communities and individuals in Liberia. Rev. Jones noted that giving is a key component of kingdom principles. He urged them to serve as the voice to the voiceless in terms of providing the necessary solutions to the needy.

The program was attended by senior and junior government officials, who expressed more support toward addressing the needs of vulnerable households in Liberia.
