Rep. Brown Empowers Gompa City Corporation
Nimba County’s district#1 Representative, Samuel Brown, has donated several materials to the Gompa City Corporation as his way of empowering the city corporation to carry out cleaning up exercises across Gompa City. The donation was done on Monday, August 1, 2022 at the offices of the Gompa City Corporation.
Items donated include dirt tricycles, rain coats, rain boots, shovels, hand gloves, wheel barrows, rake and 50 gallons of gasoline. The cost of the donated items, according to the lawmaker, is approximately US$25,000. 00. The ceremony marking the donation was graced by members of the Gompa City Corporation, stakeholders of Gompa and a cross-section of district #1 citizens.
Following the presentation, Brown, along with his office staff and the Gompa City Corporation, took the lead in the cleaning up exercise of the main street of Ganta.
The Nimba district #1 legislator told the City Corporation that the presentation was part of his many contributions toward the cleaning and development of the city. He assured the people of Gompa of his commitment in ensuring that district #1 remains the fastest developing place in Liberia. Representative Brown urged the people of district #1 to stand with him in transforming Gompa City developmentally during his administration.
Receiving the items on behalf of the City Corporation, Mayor Amos N. Suah applauded Representative Brown for the gesture. He assured him that the donated items will be used for its intended purpose because the city is in desperate need of materials to keep it clean. According to Mayor Suah, the presentation done by the representative was timely, and so he is grateful.
Mayor Suah promised Representative Brown of his office’s commitment to working with his office in order to transform the city. He stated that Gompa City is now turning into an attractive city, and so it is prudent for the city corporation to always keep it clean.
